My career began with a degree in physics, leading me into the world of telecommunications. I enjoyed many years as a Chartered Physicist, working on diverse projects in research, development, start-up company incubation, and as a Programme Director for large change programmes.

In 2015 I made the decision to pursue my lifelong interest in buildings and the following year I established Casson Peakland, initially as a property development venture. 

Getting hands-on experience solidified my desire to delve deeper into the built environment, and building surveying stood out with its broad scope and impact.

To build my expertise, I embarked on a rigorous journey of learning alongside practical skill-building.  I completed a Masters in Building Surveying at Sheffield Hallam University, followed by three years of intensive training with a local building surveying firm, culminating in qualification as a Chartered Building Surveyor with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

The subsequent founding of Casson Peakland Chartered Surveyors is the result of an eight-year journey balancing real world experience with knowledge and learning.

Drawing on my experience in business and physics, I can offer a fresh approach to building projects with solutions grounded in practical knowledge and sound scientific principles.
